when plans change ... getting over the guilt !

last week we made a decision ... a rather big decision for us .....

we decided to sell our HJ premier kingswood "project car " ....

this was a hard decision but we made the right one .... we brought this car 4 years ago with the intention of doing it up for our wedding car , it was the first thing we ever brought together and it was our baby .... we saved a little bit each week and had grand plans for it ..... but even the best laid plans can change ....

I dont know if any one else had experienced this , but I use to always get an overwhelming feeling of guilt everytime  Ilet myself  " give up " on a dream or a plan for something

but then I realised,..... you change, your plans change , you're not the same person you were 4 years ago, so your plans shouldnt be exactly the same either .....

because life changes, you buy a house, fund a wedding, pay your never ending bills , have kids etc ....

the grand plan changes, your priorities alter , you realise the dreams you once had are no longer close to your heart ....

and I think we have to learn to be OK with this , we have to learn to be OK with change, with growing up with letting our dreams evolve into different things ...

Aaron and I both knew we were doing the right thing because deep down we realised , if we ever had 20 grand sitting in the bank ( approximately how much we would need to do the car the way we wanted to ) we wouldn't spend it on the car ... we couldn't ... we would much rather spend it on a holiday, renovations, a boat  ... or even buying an investment property !

that's when we decided to sell our " baby" so she could go on to a home where someone would put the money into her she deserved ... and even though it broke my heart to see her on the flat bed on the way to her new home .... I knew we had made the right decision !

change is OK !!!

letting you self admit you have grown up , changed,  evolved... is a vital part of the process , letting go of dreams you once had that are no longer relevant to make way for exciting new ones is important to your happiness !

let it go .... your allowed to change your mind !!
